    Default Ky lake beatdown

The wife and I have been on Jonathan creek the last two days and it is winning. Caught 13 Saturday and tried everything. Caught 17 yesterday and again tried everything. Trolling 3 to 18 feet deep. Vertical fishing from 2 to 10 ft. One here and there but absolutely no pattern. Not used to fishing this low of water. Any insight would be appreciated.

Try longlining curly tail grubs in different colors, doubles if you can manage move to the channel ledges. I've found that the cold front and the rain has pushed them from the shallows back out to staging areas by the channels. I would try it can't hurt I went to the spots I was catching them last week and found they had moved back out. Just an idea

Cold front can make the fishing a little tougher but it still has to beat being at work banghead

Would have to agree it is better than work. Have decided to troll in 6 to 8 ft of water out from where I usually catch them spawning. Have 6 keepers and quite a few shorts.

AHHHHHH so you are the one to blame. LOL. Up here in Dixon IL on Sunday it was 77*, sunny and no wind. Monday morning it was 38*, heck of a north wind, and a 28* wind chill. Im blaming it all on you Whiskers.
Hey but we found over 200 morels on Sunday.

Crappie spawning and morels popping up at the same time. What was God thinking when he made that schedule. It's pure torture every spring deciding which to do.

That's what I always hear. I'd like to get to say it someday. Heading to New Johnsonville Tenn. in the morning for a few days. Hope to find them myself. Any of you guys ever fish that area before ? Any PM's appreciated.

Took my Dad this morning for 3 hours and ended up with 8 good solid keepers with a couple of BIG fish lost at the boat.( I knew better than try to swing a 2++ pounder over the side!!!)( Pretty tough using a 14 foot pole with 4 feet of line out)

We caught them in 2-6 feet of water slow trolling roadrunners and curly tails AGAINST the rock banks. All but one were black males.
