I Had A Ball On Barkley Today
I've been wanting to fish so when I got home from physical therapy I hooked up the boat and took off. It was about 12:45 when I got on the water and fished until almost 4:00. I only caught six keepers, but that's enough for a mess for the wife and I. I caught fish at every stop and a ton of short fish, so we should have some good seasons ahead of us. This is the only second time I've two poled, the first time was with kytitelok so this was the first time I've really got to fish this way. Six keepers is nothing to brag about but I had a ball, it was a good day to be out and ease my soul back in.
The new HDS-8 is great on the bow and I like having the 7 on the console with the other 8. I ran the 7 on the chart page and the 8 split with sonar and structure scan. The only problem is the new 8 screen is flickering on the sonar page so I have to figure that out.

Yeah its a ton of fun. I grew up on a farm and worked construction for years and was banged up lot. But I have to say this is the most painful thing I've ever been through. The pain from the surgery has really eased up in the last four or five days, but where he cut on my collar bone is still sore. I'm going to Lourds three times a week for my pt.
