Good bucket with an aerator running. No ice but probably wouldn't hurt to put a frozen bottle in the bucket.

We use a floating minnow bucket, tie it, and let it float along behind the boat.

I use ice constantly with the minnows and it works great, just dont get them too cold because they won't last long when you drop them from 60 degree water to 90 degree lake water. Sometimes Ill put like 8 dozen in a big bucket with lots of ice and an aerator and keep moving them a dozen at a time from the big bucket to a smaller insulated bucket just a bit cooler than the lake water and use those to fish with. The majority of your minnows will be fine in the very cold water consuming less oxygen as their metabolism slows(sometume they look dead if its too cold, just add some warm water and theyll kick back up). What stsbury said works as well too.
