Default Ohio River Flooding and Other Pics

Here are a few pics, the first couple are of the flooding taking place in Metropolis. A lot of homes and businesses have been flooded, but it could have been a lot worse. When the Birds Point levee was blown, the river crest came down 3 feet and this action saved a lot of property here in Massac County. Also, much thanks to the Men of the National Guard and the folks who have helped with the sandbagging efforts.

The first pic shows the main entrance to Massac Park and the 2nd pic is of Linwood Auto Dealership.

The Other pics show my Lowe 175 stinger boat with a 75 E-tech motor, a nice mess of Ky Lake crappie caught in April and Dixie the dog.

Thanks for the pictures and the info Huck..The high water has definitly thrown me a curveball on my spring crappie and catfishing..but that is nothing compared to the damage and trauma the folks that are in the flood zone are under..my prayers go out to them ..Bee
