While I'm sorry for the loss of life, that was no accident. It was suicide to be in a boat below KY Dam in those conditions.
Terrible News-you can see the video @ the Channel 6 website Paducah-The Rescuers did a great job to save the one guy who climbed the spillway.Pray for the families WPSD Local 6 - News, Sports, Weather - Paducah KY | Local

So terrible. I agree mrdux, no place to be with that much current flowing. I'm amazed the one survivor managed to make it out and onto the dam to begin with.
Prayers out to the families.

Take a kid fishin' Never know, one day they might take you...

Terrible tragedy, lone survivor is a lucky man. Rough looking water.
We just lost two guys at Springfield Lake yesterday. Out in a jon boat in huge winds. They found the boat today and still looking for the bodies. Can't stress enough about understanding the conditions and how quickly things can turn bad. One big roller comes over the bow or side of a jonny, and that's all she wrote!!! Please be careful out there everyone!!! If it crosses your mind that it could be too rough, stay in and try again anoher day. The worst that happens there is a lost day of fishin and having to catch up on the honey-do list!!!
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day!
Green river lake yesterday 4 adults 2 kids and a baby in small boat got to marina then wave came over side and sunk boat everyone ok got boat out
The only thing better than a day of fishing. Is a week of fishing.
Folks should stay clear from immediatley above or below any dam with multiple gates open. Even if you start out far away and at a safe distance before you know it the backcurrent will have pulled you close, and once in the whitewater and your prop starts cavitating its hard to get out of it before its too late. There are much better and safer places to fish during high water.
