I have a Lowrance and H-bird on my TM. Mounted with 2 brackets. Cant run both units at the same time but dont need to. The HB is a 900 series and it overpowers the smaller unit. There is no reason not to have both. I like to have a spare tire also !

You can make one from scratch but there are companies that are starting to manufacture these. We ended up purchasing one and it worked perfect. No interference what so ever. They run on different Freqs. I'll find the website we purchased the bracket from and post. Down imaging on the front of your boat is amazing. When we pulled up on a brush pile we could almost count how many fish were on it. We could also see how deep they were and how they related to the brush.

I'm interested to see how the Elite works. Do you know if it uses the same structure scan ducer as the HDS 8's and 10's. Does it require the LSS1 network component?
The HDS-5 downscan tranducer is much smaller than the sidescan tranducer not as wide or long. It doesnot require the LSS1 network

Transducer Shield and Saver does not make a combo bracket for the Elite DSI and a standard puck yet. The Elite DSI transducer is cylindrical in shape. They do make a combo bracket for the Structure Scan transducer and a puck, for either MotorGuide or Minn Kota trolling motors. These brackets work great.

Transducer Shield and Saver is working on an improved metal trolling motor bracket / shield for the Elite DSI transducers. Lowrance makes a trolling motor mount for the DSI transducers that is plastic and must be purchased separately. It mounts well on Motor Guides w/o Universal transducers or Minn Kota's.

The Elite DSI's come with a plastic mounting arm and a metal Skimmer style transom mounting bracket. The supplied combination will not trolling motor mount well.

Curious to see how this unit will compare to something like an HDS 5 with structure scan. It ends up being about have the price.

Size: 34.8 KBHere is my Elite 5 DSI td mount. There is no comparison between the lSS-1 and the Elite-5 DSI images, IMHO it's a apples to oranges comaprison. For the money the Elite-5 is a good unit though.

The plastic arm of the DSI Transducer mount scares me. Looks fragile. Maybe it is just my driving and where I end up. I have broken a few Skimmers mounted the same way and they are stronger.

Interesting comment on the images. I had been wondering about that. Thanks!
Hard to beat the quality of the LSS-1 Downscan images.
