    Exclamation Important Big Bear Notice

If you are not staying at Big Bear there is a daily $5 per head visitor fee.

If you come in during office hours please stop by the marina office for a car pass. If you come in before or after hours I will collect the fee and settle up with Mama Bear. We'll do this on the honor system. If I think we're short I'll make up the difference. I'm a seasonal camper and I wanta do things right. Please sign the attendance list that I'll provide.

I'll guarantee you'll have more than $5 worth of fun and fellowship.

Also... Just found out there are gonna be 3 big bass tournys on the North End this weekend so we'll be sharing the lake with about 1000 bass boats!!! Plase leave your firearms in the truck! :D I had 1 PI$$ me off yesterday. :D

The lake is almost down to winter pool. If you are not familiar with the lake please be careful and ask questions. Honor the buoys! There are places where you can be running along in 30 feet of water one minute and less than a foot the next! Don't want this to turn into another exciting episode of Rescue 911!

    Yup.

Right out in front of Moors at the mouth of BB is one of them. That one has some dandy stumps on it too that have collected more than one 70 mph bass boat.

You guys be careful this weekend.

Make sure you folks that are new on the lake have a map. The water is 5ft shallower than what the map says.

Some people make the lake out to be dangerous at winter pool. I think it's more like deceptive. It's so big that people quit worrying about depth. Don't!

If it's windy, listen to what the locals say about the main lake. It's a shallow lake that gets waves on it like a deep lake. It behaves in a way that is like no other I've been on. If the water gets too rough, pull into a bay and call somebody to come get your keys and bring your trailer to you. Nobody who knows the lake will laugh at you for playing it safe. Spearing a wave even in a 20ft boat is guaranteed to induce an increased pucker factor, especially when your lunch is floating around your feet.
