Just throw'n this out there for now to see how much interest we get.

Anybody interested in a mid/early Oct. CDC get together weekend in the Big Bear area? I have a seasonal spot at Big Bear Camp Ground.

There are several other campgrounds close and cabins available. Hillmans is right across the lake too. Several good bays within a short drive or boat ride.

I have everything to do some of the cooking with and a big campsite. I also have plenty of fire wood thanks to the Ice Storm. :D

I could also talk to "Mama Bear" and see if she would offer special rates for the CDC member that attend. That's typically a slow time for her anyway.

We have several CDC members that live minutes from there also.

I'm in unless it's the 2nd full week. The wife and I will be in Wyoming.

I would be interested unless it is the weekend of October 16th & 17th. muzzleloader comes in and I never miss that. All the fishing I have done in my life and I can't ever remember fishing in the fall. I always go deer hunting but would love to give is a shot and see how it is. I hear some say it is unbelievable.

I think that is a fantasic idea. Let me know if you need some help.I have a good recipe for crappie chowder just waiting for a fall sampling!!Maybe a little fishin tournament.I am open 2 & 3 , 16 & 17 and 30 & 31. The fishing is usually better in late October as you know. I will have an open seat on my boat also.Lets get it on!!

Really like to try that chowder. I gotta go back to the boat the last Thur. of Oct. I think it would be a ball. I would probably have room in my boat too. The tourny sounds good too. I just feel sorry for the poor guy that gets stuck with me for a partner.

Later is better but Id like to try to work it out where most folks that wanta come can. If we get some cool weather early fish'n could be pretty good in the early part of the month.

Terry, was waiting for someone to mention having one this fall. Couldn't make the one last year in Tennessee but would love to drive over for one this fall. Would just depend on the date.

Wife and I plan on being down at Big Bear the last week of Oct. We would love to join in the festivies. I know we are from IL instead of KY but we promise to behave and not start any turf wars. LOL. We love the fall fishing.

Always the optimist! It's gonna be a hundred the next two days and you're talking cool weather!!!! Count me in brother...could throw a coupla tents up on my property if need be.

I may not be in the last week of Oct. but as far as I'm concerned, all are welcome. BIGBADDAD moved here from IL & we ain't run him off yet! :D

You just have to love to crappie fish or BS or both.
