That is a great area of KY Lake.

My advice: Try fishing in the Tennessee portion of KY Lake, this time of year.

You can avoid a lot of boat traffic and out of state fisherman if you do this. This time of year it's very crowded north of U.S 68.

So try to stay south of U.S 68.

I actually like to fish south of U.S 79, from the Paris Landing area, all the way down to Interstate 40 in Tennessee.

That part of the lake has a lot of good shell mounds to fish.

The crappie have been biting on Orange, Green, and Pink jigs in that part of the lake.

Minnows are also very good this time of year.

    Good Luck
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.

I live in an Outdoor Paradise

    Hey Hooker,

I been catching some of my best from 4 to 8 feet deep around submerged cover. Been using roadrunners with either white curly tails or black shad panfish assassins. The best tip I can give is don't go in to early. A lot of people head in too early and the bite gets a lot better closer to dark!

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Default 4 days at blood river

We fished 4 days at blood river 54 degrees when we arrived 60 degrees when we left. Caught some nice fish but not big numbers, caught early and late lots of wind. Fish were coming to the banks when we left. Going to try Ky river tomorrow.
