Just stand at the ramp and pan the horizon.
I don't understand your response, is Eddy Creek a good area or do I need to move to another area.
Any place on Barkley can be a good place to fish... even the marinas.
We can't figure out what the fish are doing from one day to the next right now, let alone give you coordinates 4 weeks in advance. :D
I think that I came to wrong place to ask for information, everyone is to worried about being funny. Just wanting general info, not a detailed map or GPS coordinates.
Nothing funny about it.
Put your trolling motor down and go fishing. You are just as apt to catch fish within sight of the ramp as you are anywhere else on the lake.
Eddy creek is a good area. You will be as apt to find fish on channel ledges as you will the banks. Lake Barkley and Kentucky lake are crappie factories. There is not a bad place to fish.
There are white pvc pipes sticking up out of the water marking stakebeds put in by kdfwr. Fish them.
There are a few buoys here and there that say "fish attractor" on them. Fish those too.
Lots of places that might hold crappie in Eddy creek and elsewhere. You got to hunt them down one stakebed/brushpile/snag at a time.
Are you planning on spider-rigging, fishing drops or casting the banks. Eddy Creek has about every type of water available for crappie. There is deep drops from the mouth all the way back to marina. There is a road bed that offers some good fishing. Also the south bank up from the marina the creek runs close to the bank and usaully can catch a few there if you can beat everyone else.
