    Default Fagan Branch Lake

    Hey there lads and lassies,
I've been off the board for about three months because I broke my back in a car accident in July. Feeling like I'm about good enough to start fishin again.

Talking to a guy this week who said Fagen Branch lake is pretty good fr crappie. Just wonderig if any of you have experience with it and/or advice?
I understand it is a small, trollling motor only lake with very clear water.

Here's praying you all have a blessed Christmas.

Glad youre ok brother. Fagan is an ok lake at best. It is very clear with minimal structure, that means hard fishing. Im not saying you cant go theyre and wear em out but I will say you are gonna have to work very hard to do it. Keep your trolling mtr out of the grass or whatever that stuff is, it will bring it to a stop and eat out a bearing, I know that for a fact. Good luck, fish the side opposite the ramp and the hump in the middle.

Exclamation Glad to have you back, Pastor ...

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Don't know anything about Fagan Branch, but looked it up and found these :

Attractions in Lebanon, Kentucky - Feel the Beat! ... sounds like more of a Readear lake (Crappie aren't even listed in this link).

Attractions in Lebanon, Kentucky - Feel the Beat! ... after reading this, I'd be more interested in the Sportsmans Lake (lists Crappie & Hybrid Bluegill).

You might also be interested in this : Attractions in Lebanon, Kentucky - Feel the Beat! ... either as a volunteer, or perhaps entering some of your youth groups into the derby.

If nothing else, check out the picture slide shows from these links ... it will give you a little preview of what the lake, ramp, and some of the banks look like.

I, also, wouldn't rule out Taylorsville Lake ... a little closer to home, & more widely utilized by the members here (so you may have a better shot at info, and possibly even partner up with some members that fish it).

    Default Thanks for the help

Boy I really appreciate the information. Those links you sent CP were really helpful and I agree with your analysis. I had a guy who isn't really a crappie fisherman tell me about Fagan Branch and I wanted to see if he was on track.

Thanks too for all the nice comments.

Blessings to you all this Christmas season!
