I hate to got to court but the culprit want come out of hiding.
He must be under his house, cause he want answer his phone, certified mail, or the BBB.
I am gonna expand later and expose the maverick.
I know I can be held liable for my actions, but I got pictures and witnesses and the witnesses are willing to testify. They retired and are willing. It ain't good for the maverick. Someone needs to pee in his coffee cup.

Tom, what county are you going to have to go to battle in? If it's in our jurisdicition I'd be happy to help out any way I can.
Marshall County. The boat dock man took a 4900.00 deposit to order a lift and never ordered it. He lied to me. I called the factory. He never made the order.
I reported it to local sheriff and the DA said it was a civil matter, although he took the money under deception.
I am going after him. He has had 2 months to make things right.
Any input or suggestions are appreciated.

Bet if you wrote a bad check to wal-mart for 4900.00 it wouldnt be a civil matter.
Rest of the story..

Im having some new carpet laid wednesday and told the lady I would leave the door unlocked and a check on the garage door. Gonna call her back and tell her I will be by to pay if the job suites me. Man you got scammed for sure. Maybe you can run an ad in the surrounding papers to warn others! Maybe you can hire John Gotti, hes out again and out of work, bet he can get a refund pretty quick.
Talk about a bubble gum weld.... There is no excuse for that wiring either, all that stuf is a liability to you and whoever uses the dock, and you would probbly be blamed for it even though its that guys fault. That guy needs an --- whoopin in a bad way. Hope you get your money back. He should have to reimburse you AND pay to have the poor welding and wiring fixed plus much more. Hes not even man enuf to answer the phone, sounds like NO backbone to me. Id show up at his doorstep if you know where he lives. Give him an ultimatum and let him know he HAS to make things right VERY SOON or its gonna cost him 10x what he scammed off you. People like that don't deserve the right to be doing business period, sounds like he should be behind bars. What a schmoe. Hope you get things straightened out man.
Tom, sure hate your having to deal with this issue. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the County Attorney in Marshall County. I see your point, if this guy knows he's taking your money and not going to deliver a lift, then that should make this criminal. I think to many times it's just easier for the Attorney's to say it's a civil matter so they aren't caught in the middle of things.
I'm going to discuss these circumstances with the guys in our office here locally and see how they would handle it. Seems like it's right smack in the middle bordering between a criminal vs. civil matter.
I wish you the best of luck recovering your cash. I'm sure your not the only one he's deceived. I'd bet there's probably a bounty out for this guys head by now.
