I need input WRT a fishing boat. I have a place on Barkley with a dock.

I am fishing out of a Nauticstar deckboat. I will pull it Labor Day Weekend.

When the lake comes down to winter pool, I will have a spot with water about a foot deep I will have to traverse. The spot is not very wide, less than 10'.

I want a boat that I can entertain another dad and son with safely and comfortably, spider rig, troll, and panfish out of.

Easy to clean up and relatively lightweight.

I am looking at a Carolina Skiff DLX or DLV 1765 or 1780 with about a 50 HP 4 stroke. I would likely stay in Eddy Creek to fish the winter.

Pros, Cons, or other ideas welcomed.

The other option I was considering was one of those Gillgetter pontoons with a 25 HP motor.
