Default First trip of new year

Wasn’t good. Plain stupidity on my part. Tried launching straight nose first down a fairly steep rocky slope because I didn’t want to get my feet a little wet. Left my knee boots at home in a hurry to get on the water. Guess y’all know what happened. Lol. Didn’t cuss or fuss, just grabbed all my stuff before it floated off and straight back to the truck, loaded and came home. With the heater full blast of course.

I thought I was the only one that did those things?!?!

I was working on the boat trailer, adding PVC Guides. Dropped a 6' piece of 2" PVC on the hood of our sons car. That cost me $600. I was in a hurry, not paying attention.

It happens to almost everyone if you kayak fish a lot. Have to be very careful in these cold months.

Sounds just like one of my "hold my beer" moments. Problem is I don't drink but they still happen!

Haha, your are definitely not the first one to do it. it is so hard for me to learn that seal launching is not designed for a fishing kayak until I broke an expensive, my favorite fishing rod.

Luckily, and I’m not sure how but I didn’t break or lose anything. I used to do it in my cheap lifetime a lot. But this one has a keel wheel. As soon as weight hits it’s gone. No time to get it balanced.

Damion kid- thank you! A kayak I’m greatly considering has a keel wheel, never thought of it causing that issue. Until reading your post. Makes perfect sense.
