Sort of tough to find good used ones now a days. Everyone’s buying everything up around here. I would think any of the name brands would be pretty good to start, probably depends on what you can find. Jackson kayaks, FeelFree, Hobie, Native Watercraft, Old Town, Bonifide, 3 Waters, Nucanoe are some that come to mind. I would try to stay away from some of the budget kayaks like tamarack, sun dolphin, etc. Not that they are all bad just not typical good choices for larger guys. I think my tamarack has a 275 lb weight limit and your not gonna move around much in that thing. My Titan has around 500 lb limit and I can stand, turn, crawl around, etc. Night and day difference. As far as money that’s hard to say exactly but I would say at least $500 up. Go check out some kayaks online and see if any trip your trigger. YouTube has a ton of videos, Austin Kayak has a bunch with descriptions and pictures and also gives you an idea on prices. Hopefully this helps some.
