I am about to buy a finder for my kayak. Think I’ve decided on the garmin striker 4. My question is the cv worth the extra money??Dont mind paying if it’s better. Thanks

Clear View is worth it to me. I would also suggest going up to the 5" size (if your budget allows). So much easier to glance and read. I have the 7" on my tiller, where the screen is 1 ft away from my left knee. I would not want anything smaller than 5". Sight line in my kayak is about the same distance.

The CV is certainly worth the extra cost. It would be a no-brainer for me. I have 7inch striker.

Ok thanks guys. This will be my first one so I want to get a good one and don’t know much about them.

Yeah it’s worth it. And like recommended get as large screen as you can afford.

I agree the CV is worth it....I have a 4" Garmin Striker CV and a 4" Garmin Echomap for my kayaks and love them both. Just bought the 9" Echomap UHD with side view and am working on installing it in my boat now.

I would assume the vivid color is better Damion. The vivid color is just an OS update on my 93sv UHD. I would check into this more, maybe ask Brian at BBG Marine or others here. Might could save money and do update yourself. sorry I can't be of more assistance.
