It would need to be pretty long to work with a boat that wide. They do make paddles with extensions for solo canoes.
Just purchased a 10' Field and Stream Fisherman 10 boat from Dicks. The boat is about 45/46 inches wide. This boat will only have an electric motor. Want to get a kayak paddle to keep with the boat incase the battery goes dead. Any suggestions on what length I should purchase? Thanks, Pop

I’d be interested in knowing what length you find comfortable. Had a canoe and tried a Walmart paddle and got wet using it. Don’t know how long it was.

I have a 180 cm bending branches paddle I have used for the last 15 years. It can still be a little wet with a high paddle style new drip rings would help mine.
