I am looking for ideas on lightweight batteries to run trolling motor on my kayak. Don’t want to break the bank. Any thoughts?

I have read a little about some lithium ion batteries. They tend to be fairly expensive

I was going to suggest that but they are expensive. Dakota lithium brand I have seen several guys use in kayaks.

I looked into them for the boat. The weight savings to me don't justify the cost for the boat. For a kayak depending on the type of fishing you do they could have a lot of benefit

If I remember correctly the one site said they last about 10x longer than normal batteries so cheaper in long run once that’s figured???
