The best anchor I've used and still to this day is a 10 lb plate weight. If it ever gets hung up, which it hasn't yet, I'm out $10. Easy to dislodged and easy to stow on the kayak too.
I use an old window weight for an anchor, which works great. It hasn't hung on anything in all the years I've used it. It only cost me rope and the time to tie it in.
I just use two three hole bricks for an anchor. Tie them end to end. Also haven't hung up on anything that I could get them out of in almost 30 years of kayak fishing. Keeps me well anchored even in a stiff wind.

Very good explanation and show setup
