its a pretty snug fit. They almost snap into that groove. I've not seen one pop out due to turning etc.
I am considering getting a Pelican Bass Raider 10E but I thought of a question I really need an answer to. I called Acadamy Sportingoods and the manufacturer up in Canada...to no avail. Maybe someone who owns this boat can help me. The two swivel seats have two rails that go into grooves on each side. Apparently, the only thing that holds the seats in place is the weight of the person sittinging in it. Won't the seat fly out of the groove when you move from side to side or set the hook etc.? I've always been in boats in which the seats were bolted down or permently affixed to the boat.

I'm pretty spastic. Lol. I got a buddy that's 250 or better and he does fine. A conduit strap would do real nicely to attach it if you wanted...
What's a conduit strap?

some self tapping screws and your set. I really think you'll be fine but be cheap assurance
That's what I thought...thanks!
np. Hope it works for ya. If so post back so if anyone else has same question plz
Dont go down the highway with the seats not strapped down they could blow off the boat i got this same boat i carry on my 12 ft trailer and i go through the seats and ancor them down along with the boat with ratchet straps from harbor freight.
I've read some post that say at times water has gotten inside the pontoons do to the fact that this boat is two pieces The top is stapled on to the bottom piece, and some times the way some retailers store it (upright instead of flat), they thus put pressure on the joints causing separation of the hulls. The two hulls are connected under the black rubber bumper. (I think they said they got theirs at Academy)
