Default Kayak ready - now just need a few days to fish

All mods I can afford are complete. This will be my 5th kayak and this one is setup primarily for crappie fishing. Pretty proud of how it has turned out and how I have it setup.

The paint job you did on the cooler looks nice and your flag reminds me that I've got to get one on my rig for the bigger lakes. Nice!

Thanks. The cooler is 20 yrs old and looked horrible. Paint job may keep me happy for a couple more years. The flag came with the kayak, not sure I could have paid $95 for one. But it's nice and even has a light at the top.

I know what you mean about the high price tag. My wife and I picked up some orange flag material so she could sew me up one. I just haven't decided for sure what I want to use for the pole and it's placement. I did get some PVC and heat molded a 360 degree light on it, but I am reluctant to attach it to one of my coolers. I'll give it some more thought... but yours looks pretty nice!

Awesome looking fishing Yak. Ya done good. Now all you need is to add some water. Tight Lines.

I used a broke spinning rod once. Cut off the eyes and just stuck it in one of the rod holders in my crate

I was thinking of a CB antenna for the flag. They are 102" and threaded on the bottom. A yard sale find for under $10 probably.

Nice looking rig. Looks well thought out and comfortable. I have the desire but just can't pull the trigger to get one just yet.

Nice work setting up your yak and it will pay off for you when fishing from it.
