    Well got the kayak ready with Garmin striker 4 fish finder. raised the seat added stand assist and fishing crate and anchor trolley and rod holder thinking about a second one but not sure don`t fish with bait that often .

    That gear track is handy but the Scotty mounts and holders get expensive don't they. I found the rod holder, gear track, quick release head, and piece of low profile track for $20 at CE Showroom and ended up ordering 5. I got mine ready but can't go till next weekend. Did you paint your crate or get lucky and find one that matched?

    you are correct about being expensive I looked on ebay and found the gear head attachment for 12.00 free shipping had the rod holder from a canoe I had .. the milk crate was Red but had the paint from another boat build I did last year for a friend

    Cheapest I saw the heads was at Dicks store - $16. CE had the heads for $10 but $15 for shipping.

    Different subject, but I really like the openness and room your legs/feet have on your kayak and others like it. After my first kayak, I thought that I really wanted one of Ocean Kayak's Mod Pods. They are nice and do have some wonderful benefits but in hindsight, I would trade for the floor room in a heart beat. Enjoy!
