That's a nice looking kayak! I have looked at that one quite a bit. I am torn between it and the h12 (hybrid sit in open concept kayak). I'm just a little nervous of if I flipped the h12. I'm also not a strong swimmer but I would really like to get a kayak against my wife's wishes of course.

Nice yak,I've had my nucanoe for 4 years, and I still change the set up to better suit my needs.I see the shaving horse in the background,do you use it much?,and if so ,what type of wood working do you do?.I was taught bow building by an old gentleman, who had a very old shaving horse, that's been many bows and years ago,the shaving horse is an invaluable tool

I looked at the H12 and it looks nice but for my needs this one was better the plus being is I can get a blind for it for duck hunting also .. And with a few simple modifications I am getting it the way I want

I bought that boat when it first came out about 5 yrs ago. The cool hatches would not seal up and water went straight thru. I got in a hard rain one afternoon and it almost sunk! Contacted Ascend(bass pro) and the actual president of ascend returned my call. Sent out brand new redesigned hatches and hardware. Plus a cool hat ( I'm a sucker for a freebie). Called back about a week later to see if the new hatches worked. I really liked the way they really cared that I got made happy. Looks like the hatches have been redesigned and yours looks really nice. Good luck
