Looks good and I like the pool noodles under the crate...are they tied to the crate for flotation? In my kayak it would keep my crate out of the water if I leave my scupper plugs out...which I do at times.

They are zip tied to the crate. My reasoning was to elevate the crate out of the water, allow a little cushion under the crate when I strap it down, and hopefully cut down on any noise through the hull if I drop something in the bottom. Small pieces of pool noodles around the sides help keep the crate centered and not sliding around. As Yaker said I will probably change it several times after I take it out.

It has been changed a few times already and it hasn't made it to the water since I started rigging it. Anchor trolley and depth finder will be next.

Gotta love 'em pool noodles. I carry extra in the storage area inside the kayak too. Your on your way to some exciting times.
