Wish I could help. Spent 18 months on Guam back in the very early '60's in the Navy. Hope you can find some help.
I just moved to Louisiana from Guam and have a kayak on the way! I use to kayak and troll out in the big water, but now I'm here to try and get a grip on the crappie fishing! Is there anyone in here near me that would like to meet up when my kayak arrives and teach me some things about crappie fishing from a kayak? All help will be greatly appreciated!

I do not have a yak but when you start fishing , Lake Bistineau about 30 miles from Shreveport by Sibley is suited for a Yak . the State Park on the South East side might be the best . but there are other launch areas. The lake has a lot of Floating weeds. The little river that feeds it goes alway to Arkansas. I just fished it Yesterday and it will be a couple of weeks untill Crappie get on the banks. the Trees are Cypress
