How many of y'all fish out of a pirogue? Here's a few pics of my skinny water rig.

You can check them out here. Water Moccasin | Water Moccasin Outdoors - Stonewall, LA | Also Serving Shreveport - Bossier Metro Mine is a 2003 11ft and I run a 54lb thrust motorguide. This is my 5th pirogue since my High School days and I love fishing out of them. This one on GPS runs 5.6mph which will cut across the lake pretty good.

Yeah - I agree - that thing looks killer. Pretty stable is it? Prolly make for a good duck layout boat too. After two rotator cuff surgeries and feeling it everytime I'm out paddling it - the appeal of a Troller is high. But of coure, the exercise is probably good for the shoulders...

Yep, the hull will run about that, when you add trolling motor and other extras it gets up to $1,000 plus. I had a blue flake one years ago that I won in a Ducks Unlimited raffle and it was a pretty hull for sure.

I plan on building something similar out of plywood. I will post pictures when it is done.

They call that design around here a duck boat. Having a deck gives you a place for a wet dog and easy attachment of camouflage.

This design should be able to handle rough water better than an open boat. That is why I have stuck with the closed cockpit kayak for so long. Now that I'm getting older cramps are becoming a problem and need something I can move around in.

I think for the money you have the best boat I have seen. I'm only building so I can have a similar design that comes in three sections and will fit inside my minivan.
