Decided to head up to my Brother in laws lake just outside Clermont with the yaks to target Crappie. I took my son who decided he'd fish crappie if they started hitting well, but would try for some bass to start. About 15 mins into the trip I got my first fish, which was the biggest of the day for me (2nd picture). A few minutes later I hear my son yelling like a madman and turn to see a football jump next to his yak. His best bass to date and you know I heard about it all day and I'm sure I will for some time, but he earned those bragging rights. The smile says it all. We ended up with 2 bass (him) and 4 Crappie landed with several more lost yak side. Crappie get cooked tonight, bass was released to get bigger. A good 2.5 hours on the water.
