Have you looked at the crescent fisher extreme 11, they are rated at 500 lbs. I'll have some in stock tomorrow , I'll post pics. What's your budget?
I am looking to purchase my first kayak for both fishing and leisurely kayaking since I live so close to the Cape Fear. Problem is I am 6'2 and 290 pounds, so picking a kayak that makes me feel safe and comfortable is not the easiest. Before anyone mentions the Big Rig, I do not have that much to spend currently.
The ones I have been looking have been the following. The best deal being the Cruise 12
Jackson Cuda 14
Jackson Cruise 12
Wilderness Systems Ride 115 or 135
Feel Free Lure 13.5
Vibe Ghost 130
I hope to find something I can cruise down the river, fish streams and take to the coast with me to do some light fishing inshore and just beyond the breakers. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Or if you have one for sale in NC, please let me know, would love to buy a used one at a good price.

Here's a pic, look them up . I have a pond you can try one out in before you buy with wholesale pricing.
Don't really have a set budget, trying not to limit my search if it is a good deal arises. So really anything below 1k hopefully.

I'll pm you pricing.
Nucanoe frontier 12.
That nucanoe looks nice but pricey
Perception Striker 11.5 is rated for 500 lbs and has a good price...you just need to buy a seat.
By the way I have a Ride 135 and it is very stable and great kayak..only draw back I know is the weight at about 90 lbs. We also have a Perception Pescador 12 and while not the initial stability of the Ride it is also a good kayak...paddles a little easier and is 25 to 30 lbs lighter. When going out somewhere where I am portaging a lot I take the Pescador and I am 6'4" and 270.
cape fear river or out in the bay?
