I have limited upper body strength and of course it keeps trying to roll. I found an inflatable paddle end float works good to make an outrigger on one side. Confidence that you can get back in is important for when it gets cold. Never accidentally fell over in about 4 years. I did fall overboard from my outboard in the last year though.
practice somewhere exiting and flipping your kayak. In some kayaks ther may be a place to attach a 1" or even piece of 2" strap carabinered inside or at the center of the seat area long enough to the end of the yak with the end in the water, with a loop at the end to put your foot in and enable you to sort of do a laying crawl up the back of the yak to center to get back in. Work on this to see what works best for you. Just a thought I would pass on.
