Default New to fishing. Which would be best opton?

I have not fished in 30+ yrs and never really got into it. Now that I am getting older and more laid back I am looking into a more peaceful hobby.
I sold the bike that I never rode anymore and am looking into a small boat that I can put in the back of a short wheelbase truck. I do not want a trailer since I wil be keepig it in the garage
Of the 3 options of a 1036 topper jon boat, 10ft pond prowler or ascend 12t kayak. All 3 from BPS. Which woud I have a easier time reselling if I just don't like the sport.
I got a $1500.00 budget for everyting but the fishing gear. The jon boat looks like it would be a lot easier to make mod's to and mount stuff. The Pond Prowler looks ok with the seats high enough to cast while sitting but the inside depth looks like it is maybe 10in. I can see me doing a header out of that. The Yak looks like fun but no options for larger items like coolers and such.
There is a maybe 40 acre lake 2 miles from the house that I drive past every morning on the way home from work. "3rd shifter" But I would like to hit Arkabutla some tmes or just boat ride sometimes.
    What do you folk's think?

Around here, kayaks sell the fastest. Pond prowler can be tough to load by yourself. However, all three can be a good option.

I prefer the kayak no registration and easy to load and haul. I have a 14x48 flat bottom and a 16x48 Lowe with 40 hp steering and decks. The only one I have been out in so far this year is the kayak. May even go to Guntersville backwater tomorrow in the kayak.

My opinion is the pond prowler would be more stable than that 10 ft topper. Kayak would be ok but I'm to crippled up for one. Going on Butla pond prowler launched in some protected waters would be good.

Have you considered a float tube? It's perfect for the 40-acre lake.

You don't need a motor or trailer. You can carry it to the water with one hand. They're cheap, easy to store, and super relaxing. It's like fishing from a recliner.

They're not for really big lakes and have minimal storage, but I love mine!

I sold everything but the kayaks. Kayaks rule for me. I'm 73 and stand to fly fish when I'm not crappie fishing. Wilderness System Ride 135.

No thumbs up for the jon boat. Several likes for the kayak. The pond prowler got a positive comment. This is what I put in my cart at BPS for about $1250.00 plus tax.

    Pond prowler.

Garmin striker 4 mostly for the gps and to find drop offs

    Min-Kota c-2 55 for the rear

    Min-Kota c-2 30 for the front.

Thanks. Being able to stand up to pee is a big plus for the prowler. I don't know if I could sit with my legs straight out like in a yak for vey long before the back would start acting up. I might even give a fly rod a shot if it feels stable emough. Once again I have no idea what I'm doing. This ought to be fun.

    CRAY:
I used to work for this old grumpy guy several years ago at a truck dealership. All he talked about was fishing and his Harley.
I looked at your previous post and it sounds like you might have a mechanical back ground .This can't be you. This guy has to be at least 80 by now. He was a Geezer back then.
