    I use a power wheels battery that i scavenged from a few neighbors throwing out their kids little cars who have outgrown them.

    I just silicone it in the front bottom of my kayak and I have side imaging and down imaging. Works great

    Good ideal just like mounting it in a bass boat..in the kayak and protected and no holes to drill or mounts to buy.

    Depends on what the current draw of your fish finder is, but I made a battery box out of a 8 AA battery holder inside a small waterproof box. Drilled a hole for the wire to go through the box and used a rubber grommet to keep it watertight. Been running my Humminbird PirhannaMax 170 on the same 8 AA batteries for about 12 hours without replacing them. For a kayak I prefer this small size and no need to recharge. Just one less thing to worry about.

    That's what I'm doing still not done with it but it looks like it'll work pretty good
