I went out on the NC side of Wylie this morning looking for pre spawn crappies. I had no luck with the crappies, but did have a personal milestone today.

I upgraded my FF last winter to a Lowrance HDS 5. For the first time in my kayak, I marked a school of fish and was able catch to them!

I brought up 11 bass in about 30 minutes. I didn't even know bass schooled up like this. They were all small 1-2lb fish.

I also was able to pull out my first cat for the year. Great day on the water.
