All of Jackson brand fishing kayaks have elevated seats. Most Wilderness System, Native, and NuCanoe also have elevated seats (some are optional). The seats don't work with other brands and some are specific to that particular models.
I'm thinking about buying a kayak for pond fishing and feel like I would want an elevated seat. I've seen pictures of some on CDC, but I don't understand if that seat is usable in any kayak or just sit on tops or certain brands or? Fill me in please! Thanks, Marty

I have a Feelfree Lure 11.5 that has an adjustable elevated seat that is very comfortable for fishing .
The Coosa I've got has the elevated seat. I was just thinking the other day that I might switch the seat out with a cooler later in the year, and sit on that to get up higher. It would take from the stability, but the more I take it out, the more stable I get. I've tried standing a couple times already, which works well, so I figure later this year there will be a cube shaped cooler in place of the seat. Maybe something different if I can think of a better way.
