Nice!
Took 17 videos and cut them down to a little over 11 minutes. Our club went camping for the weekend and it rained most of the time there but the fish were still biting and some awesome hybrid fishing as they were running up the river and creek runs.

Nice!
You look as if you have that to an art. Nice video an nice fish.
Great video, you have the longlining down to a science. Seen you handle two rods at once and made I look easy.
It is hard to tell from the video if you are spider rigging just hovering over a spot or long lining moving forward or backwards. Which direction are you moving and are you propping the rods in the back of the holder pointed up when you catch a fish or is that a separate holder?
I was longlining forward. When doing this you have to keep the boat moving or your other jigs will hit the bottom. The times that I moved a rod I had reeled in the line, that is the reason they were put out the front as I was just getting them out of the way. It is hard to tell but all the hybrids were in the 3 to 4 lb class and when they decided to make a run anything in their way was going with them

thanks for the explanation. What are the rods resting in standing straight up when you are taking fish off?
Awesome Video! One day I hope to be as half as good as you are with "trolling" for them. How much advantage do you have with the mirage drive vs paddle? Could a paddler do this type of fishing efficiently in your opinion? Thanks
The peddling would be hard to beat for longlining because of boat control and having both hands free. I do longline in my Ride 115 also but only use two rods. At times you can reel and keep your kayak moving but it takes awhile to lean how to reel in a fish and use the paddle at the same time. When a fish hits one line you can reel in the other line so the jig doesn't go to the bottom. Sometimes on bigger fish they will pull the kayak around some so it is a good idea to get the other line out of the way so it doesn't get hung up. If trolling over a flat bottom with no debris on the bottom you can let the other jig hit the bottom while reeling in the fish.
