Default Who tubes during the winter?

I know at least one member does because he said so in another thread. I don't, but that's more due to work than weather.

Anybody else float tubing in the colder months?

I do, occasionally, for smallmouth on a small flow. It has a trail on one side and railroad tracks on the other. Makes it sort of easy to get out and walk to warm back up. 2 miles of river takes a minimum of 4 hours. I also use a kayak paddle rather than flippers, much quicker and quieter. I use a fishcat lcs (elevated seat and v-shape both lift me higher out of the water but also moves better). Fleece wading pants under stockingfoot breathable waders plus wool socks and appropriate top layers. Also i wear a hat. PFD goes on well before I reach the water.

SandwichMaker has a water wagon that is close to a tube. He does very well.
