    Default Rescue Step

Has anyone used one of these?

Currently looking for ladder solution for boat and saw this. Looks like a nice concept for boat and kayak. Currently have a rescue stirrup for my kayaks and might consider changing over for kayak.

Wondering as well if this might be a good solution for boat as well rather than add transom ladder.

I like the second one shown better than the first. It wouldn't take much to make one like it.
In my boat I have a rope ladder. I put the loop over a seat post, have the ladder together with a rubber band and a weighted cord hanging in the water.
I caught it on clearance for $3. Rope Ladder - Walmart.com

Nice product! Never thought about needing a step for the kayak. Like canebreaker said it wouldn't be hard to make something close and save "a lot" of money.

I have a few of those non-working Harbor Freight 15 foot ratchet straps that could be used, but think they maybe to short. I saw a spool of 1"x 500' green strap at the auction the other night. It didn't get on the table maybe it will be there next week. I find 300' rolls online for about $80. Maybe get this one for about $10.

For that price I would prefer to make my own.
