Congrats on a fun day on the water, nice catch.
So far, the late summer/fall fishing has been outstanding. On my last float fishing trip in August, before I took off for the day, I just had a feeling it was going to be a good day of fishing so instead of taking a bucket or stringer, like I usually do for the fish I plan on keeping, I took a big cooler full of ice. It was going to be nice weather and I was planning on being on the water early, so I figured I might as well be prepared to keep fish cool all day just in case I caught some early. I started the day on the river floating for smallmouth bass and then continued right into the lake for crappie and bluegill. I managed to land 9 keeper smallmouth and around 100 panfish.
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :DRetiredRR LIKED above post

Looks like you had a real good day in the yak fishing. I also like your statement at the end of your post. It's not what equipment you have, but how you use it ! so true. it made me smile. so many times I have went out with nice equipment and met an old black gentleman with a cane pole with a big stringer of fish and I would hide mine behind me ha ha if you know what I mean.
