    Default sculling paddle

Any of yall tote a scullin paddle in yer yak? Thinkin bout gettin one fer sneakin around the bushes and pads when fishin. Might be a tad more stealthy than swinging the big orange blades on my Bending Branches.

I use a backwater assault paddle it is made for a kayak. It's a short plastic paddle. I have used it for fishing and it is much better to me than an short wood paddle.

Huntinslabs, not a lot of these youngsters on here even know what a sculling paddle is or how to use it not a Yacker but looks like it would be the ticket for that in close fishing.

Sharp lookin paddle but the handle is too short. The longer handles on a scullin paddle gets leverage from your forearm for less fatigue. Pullin a figure 8 for extended time would get tiresome it seems.

JMO but you don't need all that leverage, if you are sitting low in a kayak. The shorter handle on the backwaters work fine as you are working it out to the side. In a canoe or jon boat, you need the leverage (and use a more vertical stroke). I actually have two of the older wooden models that I could sell, as they don't reach the water from the tall seating position in my Jackson kayak (however they worked great when I had traditional/low seated kayaks).

I just use some beachball paddles (look like oversized ping pong paddles) I picked up at a beach store at the beach a couple years ago. they slide right in the crate, lightweight plastic and work pretty good imo.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

This looks like a helpful tool may give it a shot. Think it could help with positioning.
