For a SOT kayak, I think it'd be awesome to have a minnow aerator in the center hatch close to your seat. Actually, that could be a fun project and run the aerator to my battery pack for the fish finder.
We all know that whatever kayak one buys off the rack (lol) there are things we wish had been built in when it was built at the factory. So what I would like to hear is what feature would you put in to make it the perfect kayak?

For a SOT kayak, I think it would be awesome to have the elevated seat swivel around so you could access your cooler easier. I did it on my own, and
think it is very beneficial. My WS 135 stability is not affected when I swivel around to drop a crappie in the cooler.
The first thing I install on any kayak is an Anchor Trolly and a Zig Zag Cleat.
Nothing worse than being blown around the lake when you are on a hot spot. Be it cover like brush or even a drop off.
Wishing you Blue Skies and Tight Lines
I would like to see more vertical rod-holders built or installed in the yak so you didn't have to build something to be able to carry 4 to 6 rods. Even when bass or striper fishing you carry a few rods and the ones they put in the yaks are to big around to carry rods ( without adding something to them yourself) and are not useable for fishing unless you add a strap to hold the rods in if a fish was to bite.
I really like the minnow bucket idea and seat swivel.

I used marine grade plywood, sealed and painted it real good and kept it as simple as possible. Easy to remove and put back in and super comfy.
Simplifies turning around to drop crappies into the cooler and get a cold drink at the same time. Should have washed it before taking the photo,
but you can get the idea.
Also to the OP, I really like my future beach. It's been a great first kayak but whoever thought it was a good idea to put two scupper holes in the seat area having an off day. I'm definitely getting plugs before I head out next time. It's like sitting in a kiddie pool the whole time I'm fishing.
