Bfish do you use a Jackson?
FISH ON
My rods are parallel to the water. My softside cooler (with ice in it) is where I can reach it (one kayak is behind me, the other is in front of my feet). The softside floats (even with ice in it) so I don't bother to strap it in. Tackle goes under my seat (Jackson (and several other brands) have elevated seats). I can fit at least 4 planos under the seat.
Yes a Coosa and a Big Tuna is what I currently have. I have had about 20 different yaks and canoes over the years though.
Thanks bfish. Would love to see pics of everyones Kayak and what works for them.

These armrests are not high enough to interfere with the paddling of the kayak. They are just high enough to be handy and comfy. When pushin' cranks, I
can go for hours, slowly, and with little effort. They were heated with a heat gun and set specifically for my arms. Easily adjustable for anyone. The aluminum
armrest will have a drink holder for easy access. Plus, a tray for holding multiple crank baits so I won't have to reach into the tackle box for a lure change.
Each angler has to find their own comfort zone and I found mine.

without a doubt fishfinder and rod holders in convient location and a comfortable seat
RetiredRR, thanks for the pics and the info. The seat is a very cool idea, yall have given me some good ideas on how to customize a yak once I finally get one.

I love my fiberglass stake out pole. Attaches to the yak just like my paddle and I shove it down thru a scupper hole to hold me in place. It's 7' so can easily "anchor" in 5' of water. Also helps when pushing off the bank and helping stand up. Got mine from a friend in the bill board business. They have hundreds for hanging the vinyl billboards
Alright try'n hard, show us the fiberglass stake out pole......mine is a schedule 40 pvc pipe with a T on top so it won't go through the scupper hole.
