RR - That look much more comfortable than the PVC chair. Nicely done

    RR
Curious as to why the eye bolts instead of lags?

I see the rear anchor rope/cord.

I used marine grade plywood, sealed and painted it real good and kept it as simple as possible. Easy to remove and put back in and super comfy.
Simplifies turning around to drop crappies into the cooler and get a cold drink at the same time. Should have washed it before taking the photo,
but you can get the idea.
Just from the sound of it I had always wondered what someone had in mind with putting holes in a kayak right above the waterline. Probably didn't have a mind I suppose. Now as to the eyebolts that RR has under his seat. My guess would be that it give him added places to anchor other items. However I want to hear the real reason.

The only things I add are anchor setup and a rod holder (spyderlok). No need for them to come from the factory that way (since not all of us fish the same way). For example:

I never use vertical rod holders. They just lead to my rods getting snagged on overhanging trees. I often pull into a deadfall and use a brush grip and jig right in the middle of all the branches. If I had vertical rods they would get snapped.

You don't need a aerator if you use the tuna tank on the Jackson Big Tuna (very easy from the center solo seat). I am surprised the other kayak companies don't have something similar.

Oh, I forgot I would love to have some of the newer fishing kayak designs in kevlar/fiberglass or other light weight composite. Thinner and stronger hull with less thickness makes for a faster kayak.

My WS Ride 135 came with screws installed that do not penetrate the skin of the kayak, so the anchor trolly could be installed without the hole going all the
way through the outter skin of the kayak. The eye bolts are for securing other items to keep them from sliding forward and keeping them close at hand.
Had a kevlar Maxi Poke boat one time and wished WS Rides would or could be made from that material. Super strong and lightweight. The armrests on my
seat are just for resting the arms when eating a sandwich and drinking a soda pop. I'm in the process of designing some from aluminum that I will like much
better and they will be more stable. Got to be tinkering with something keeping the creative juices flowing.

Do you use a trolling motor? If not, how the heck do you paddle with those arm rest? If you paddle with your arms that high up and avoiding the rest you will wear yourself out quick. Nice idea sans the armrest.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

I had given the vertical rod holders some thought but nixed them because if the same reason given by bfish. While not being used for transport what would those of you that place the rod in holders when using multiple rods think of rod holders place at a 60 deg angle to the water. Would this keep them at high enough angle to keep them from being jerked out of the hole before you can grab it? Would you place your ice chest in front of are behind your seat. Once the ice chest was placed where would you put your tackle? Stringer of wire basket? What about lighting?
