    Default Nice ride!

    Couple of questions for you.

    1. Is that the wide dashboard or the regular?

    2. Is that the elevated seat or the standard one?

Looks like an awesome setup! I have a Ride 135 sitting at home waiting for me and I'm curious as to which dashboard setup you're using.

The dashboard is the Harmony Wide @ 23 1/2'' and the seat is the elevated seat setting 4'' higher than the low seat.

Awesome. Sounds like I'm going to have a similar setup with the seat/dashboard, except I have a 135. Were you able to buy the wide with the feet or did you have to buy them separate? I've been trying to find the wide dashboard with feet and am not sure where to go. I'm hopefully gonna be back from this deployment just in time for the crappie spawn and want to have my new ride all ready to go! I really like what you've done with your setup!

I got the trolly installed (Hobie P-12). I know the price is on the high side but I think the $36 is worth it with the parts you get and the finished job looks good and very useable with an anchor or with the 18'' drift sock.

I needed something to hold my rod when removing a fish or tying on rigging. I had a few inches behind the rod-holder so this is what I came up with.
The pipe is 1-1/4'' X 6'' with a cap pushed on not glued. Heated the pipe and used a wine bottle to flare top (like everyone does). To install this on the Trax I used 1/8 x 3/4 aluminum cut 1-1/4'' long. Bought a 1/4 x 20 tap and some 1'' 1/4x20 bolts. Drilled and tapped the aluminum in the center.
Now I took the PVC cap and drilled a 1/4'' hole in the cap top a little off center and drilled a 1/8'' hole for drainage. Painted the 6'' pipe and cap then installed the cap onto the Trax rail, with the offset hole you can turn the cap so this rod-holder to lean a little to the inside on the kayak so when the rod is in it you line will hang center of the kayak. Once the cap it tighten I pushed the 6'' pipe into the cap. Finished.

They don't sell them together, not sure why. You will enjoy the setup, everything is just where you need it. The only thing I need now is the rudder and Santa (wife) ordered it yesterday for my Christmas! I think I love Santa!!!

Don't guess you're gonna do any flyfishing from the Ride with all the accessories rigged out huh ? Looks good tho.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

O yes!! I'll just take off the rod holders and go. There is enough room between the seat and dash for the line to lay or I'll use my auto reel setup.

I've been checking out both Austin City (where I bought my Ride 135) and Hook1. Thanks again!
