Good luck on your search. Glad you were able to give one a try, so now you know more about what fits your personal requirements. Lots out there to
    choose from.

If all goes well I will have a 115 this Saturday. I'm heading up to Hook1 to pick it up and see what it's like. I'll need a decent paddle any recommendations?

RetiredRR : What is the platform you made for your seat? It looks plastic.

I have a bending branches that is pretty good, and a werner as well, get one that will be long enough for the 115 and your size/stroke, etc. I'm liable to take either one as I can't tell much difference between the two.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Werner paddle and my seat sits on a piece of plywood painted red. At 220 lbs, plenty strong and no bend.

Well here it is, tried it out in the Flint River and it's nice. I even surfed through some light rapids standing up.

Looks like it rides high enough in the water. Congrats.

I was going to recommend Hook 1. I'm sure you will be pleased with a 115 based on what you state you are going to use it for.

Predator130, slide your seat forward for better traction when traveling a distance. Slide it all the way back for more manuverability in short spaces. Most kayakers never
    learn this valuable lesson.
