    Default Kayaks/Canoes vs boats

Im pretty new to crappie fishing and was wondering, aside from the obvious reason of being able to get into tight spots, what are some other advantages that kayaks/canoes have over boats in regards to crappie fishing?

Kayaks do not require launching from a ramp. #1
There are no fees for launching a kayak. #2
Kayaks do not need fuel, therefore cheaper to use. #3
Kayaks help you stay more physically fit. #4
Kayaks are more user friendly and easier to outfit for your personal comfort. #5
You will see more of your surroundings from a kayak, stealth. #6
    Reasons are numerous.
    Good luck on your choice.

I can power my kayak all day on a quart of gatorade and a few belogna sandwhiches.

Ethanol Free gas is not an issue

I don't have to register my boat or trailer. I don't have to make fifty trips to the parts store, hoping they have parts.

I can lift my kayak with one arm. My kayak cleans up with dish soap and water in a few minutes.

I can catch fish in areas where guys in boats can only watch me catch them from a distance.

Oh, I can go on all day..... Boats are nice and they have thier place. I enjoy fishing on them from time to time, but I thank God I don't own one.

I find its a more relaxing way to fish, you put in as close to where you want to fish, and paddle to the area, and you can't race anyone to get to your spot. Few others will be there anyways. If someone cuts me off so to speak, I just pass 'em on the outside (closer to the shore/more shallow water) and it ticks 'em off.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

I spent ten hours fishing down a river and never saw another person, house, car or anything else other than what God put here to begin with. You just can't do that in a boat.

Car topping is nice if you get the right boat.

You won't see places like this in a "regular" boat.

All around, they are cheaper then a boat. Use the money saved for beer and bait.
If vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what's baby oil made from?
