    I believe that to be a rebadged loon. The flat width in the middle is what concerns me. Think of a skipping rock, round and flat in the middle is what skips real well.

    PS 230 lb plus a 40 lb battery is getting close to the weight limit. Some "weight" limits are max. weight with a performance drop off as you get close; others are more generous and should be referred to as suggested normal weight range.

    I seewhat youre getting at regarding the shape but honestly, it isnt flat in the middle. While yes it is wide, it still has a good V and sits nicely down in the water. Its hard to descride the shape of it really...If you happen to have a Dick's sporting goods near by, check one out. As for the weight capacity, I think with a TM and a battery I would be far enough below the capacity to still be able to have the minimal setup I normally bring.
