The biggest difference between the two hulls is F has scuppers while B does not. So if it is raining (or you decide to join the polar bear club again), B will fill with water, while F will drain. Also, on F, the deeper grooves with the flatter side profile allow the hull to remain flat on the water and still track straight. While B tracks straight, the more v-shape hull will roll side to side more before getting on edge. Additionally the v-hull will draft just slightly deeper.

So taking what you said, and considering the fact that I'll be doing as little paddling as possible (adding the TM), as far as the scuppers, though I never mentioned it, a hand pump would be purchased, doesn't really sound like a concern. I don't really fish any skinny water, so an inch or two doesn't matter, but I would have a fair bit of weight capacity "left-over" with a NuCanoe.

No plans to take another cold dip any time soon, a couple certain anatomical parts I like to keep track of whenever possible

Sounds like me walking back and forth between the Jackson Kayak Cuda and the Wilderness System Ride 135. Just had to flip the coin and modify the
winner. Wear the current one out while you got it.

Well, I know I came close to "smootching the pooch" in that recent attempt to purchase the Ultimate. While I think it's a great Kayak (from what I've seen/read), I'm just thinking it may not have been the best possible solution for my needs (some being quite a bit different than what someone else might generally desire), or decided that it's not the best solution. I continue to wonder if I'd have had been in either the Ultimate or NuCanoe that day on Reelfoot, what the outcome would have been? I can't really decide with the Ultimate, and while I couldn't say for sure with either, I can't help but think my odds would have been best in the NuCanoe. I know that's all speculation, but I'd like to hear others thoughts on it. Something else I'd thought about last night was how I get seated in my FB, by straddling it. That'd work on the Ultimate because they're the same width, the NuCanoe however is another 10", more than I could straddle. Well, it hit me that I could just turn the seat sideways, take a seat, turn back 90* and motor-off into the sunset, well sunrise.

I'll definitely continue to use the FB Angler when the occasion presents itself, and I'm hoping I can haul it back down next year (MS) because I want to gift it to the Son of a friend I'd made here.

In the meanwhile, I'll just keep fighting my OCD impulses, and continue to weigh things out, and compare the 2 fully rigged (in my head, as soon as the voices shut-up ) setting in the water, just waiting to be fished. Gives my mind something to do while waiting on the sandman to arrive.

    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

tippy? tippy? You need some lessons in sarcasm, I'll have my people contact your people.

Don't want a 10'er jimp, will need more room once I decide which home entertainment center I want to add. More than fair price though, someone should snag that up, I doubt it'll take long to sell. Thanks for the heads-up though

Great reading material for the undecided to ponder.
