For our 2nd outing the day started out a bit on the chilly side and extremely windy. with ne winds from 15 20 mph. we had 3 soldiers from the 3id infantry.that were able to make it but one had to pull out due to a illness. we were able to brave the elements we got seven boats on the water all in all a good day on the water.

only 2 trout were caught. and yes the 2 trout were just barely leagal

congrats on the good day on the water gabream. Glad you could show the military members a good time, they certainly deserve some good times for what they do for their country.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Got a little water time today, kinda odd not having all them stumps poking out of the water. Seems like I set lower in the seat now that I ain't all clenched-up

Lake was nice and calm most of the afternoon, though the pics don't seem that way, but wind only lasted for an hour or so. Caught 1 Bass, but was nice just being on the water.

Picked-up a seat pad for a kitchen chair (not waterproof), and this folding Frabil landing net for $13 at SprawlMart, their website (where I got the pic) says $22.

Patio chair cushion (waterproof) in my chair. And...........that is a good landing net. Nice peaceful pics. And camped right next to the water, very nice.
One bass and sitting lower in the chair.........relaxed, awesome. Anticipating blue gills for supper? Crappie bite gearing up ~ they heard you were coming
to see 'em. Your reputation proceeded you. You know everyone is tuned in now.

If my "reputation" proceeded me, all the fish are down there laughing and mooning me

It took help at Reelfoot to start to catch 'em, likely to do the same here.

I couldn't find a waterproof one, and the store was packed, I was running behind, and grabbed the 1st thing I could find, I just wanted outta the store and back on the road. I'll get something somewhere along the way that's a little more suited. Nice to be parked and relaxed again.

Not kayaking, but I plan on fishing for the next 5 days in a row. Bass, crappie, and sauger at different lakes for each. Warm here Weds thru Fri and then cold this weekend. I'll be in my 15 ft flatbottom or my 16 ft Alum bass boat depending on with lake or river I am fishing.
