Thread: spider rigging in my yak

Just my opinion but skip the two sided paddle idea-- keep it simple with a single paddle on each side of your boat. To that end go search your garage or a yard sale and secure a pair of cheap beat up frisbees or ping pong paddles, attach some 30 lb braid as your cord, put one on each side of your cockpit tied to a thwart or tie down, and there you have it. You can now make a quick course correction and manuever anywhere with a modest flip of the wrist. I leave mine in the water with no troubles.

I recently left my paddle at the house and used only the frisbees for an 8 hour day on the lake and had no problems at all.

Hey,I use hi tecs on my pontoon boat,got 4 sets of em and stole 1 set off the toon and put on my jackson cuda till i can get one made at a angle like yours.They need to come back bout 4 more inches to be right but they are useable now.I been using them bout a month now and have caught fish just tring to get it set up right before i place the order.
I use a reg kayak paddle most of the time but i do have a pair of paddleball paddles that i bought at the drug store in the toy dept for 4$ that work pretty good,i use them mainly when im drifting
