Where in Arkansas do you live? Here are the dealers for a couple different brands of boats, surely some them demo. Also many liveries have rental boats. Also many college recreational programs have boats to rent, very affordable for one or two day trial. You real owe it to yourself to test ride before you buy, same as a bicycle, motorcycle, motor boat, or 4 wheeler etc.

With your limitations, SOT is the best bet. It is a plus when you can paddle, sit, dangle your feet in the cool water
and lean back and soak in your situation. Your there to catch fish, chill out, kick back and enjoy yourself. Don't forget
your camera. The wider the bottom of the kayak you choose, the more stability you'll experience. Get your bottom up off
the original seat a couple of inches and your knees will appreciate what you did for them. I've seen "bean bags" used and
any number of configurations to accomplish comfy settin'.

I really like this seat/rig, but I like armrests too. These seats can be found at Target,
but.......they don't come with armrests.

I'd fall asleep in that thing! Rofl
I've allowed that to cross my mind. While testing my new chair setup, I did sit under
a large willow tree to see how it felt to rest my neck on the back of the chair.........could
have fallen asleep easily. With my feet dangling in the cool water, it was comforting.

I have a Jackson Cuda which has a seat that can be high or low. I find the high position OK for slow quiet spots, but like the low for rough water and making speed.
I was just about to leave this forum and go querry "Jackson Kayak Cuda" and read your post.
That is one awesome kayak and I can't get it out of my mind. Here I am with 2 kayaks and
coveting another.............guilty as charged! The seat on that kayak is what grabbed my attention
and the fact that it is adjustable is a winner too. I'd almost bet a modification could be made with
a pool noodle to make an armrest. LOL I've read quiet a bit about the attributes of your kayak,
but..........what is your opinion based on? Is this your first, second or ? kayak? And, were you
able to compare the price with other dealers? Funny how some dealers will beat another dealers
price to get your business. Works for me though. Thanks.

@RetiredRR, The Cuda is my second yak. The first was a Native Manta Ray and I sold it cheap to my son-in-law to get a fishing partner. The dealer is in Lafayette and their name is Pack & Paddle. There was a guy there from Texas when I bought mine. He had bought one at Pack & Paddle before and like dealing with them. I'm a haggler when it comes to price. I ask them and they agreed to price match against the dealer in North Carolina where I bought my first one.
The first one I bought was an ebay "make and offer" deal with that North Carolina dealer.
