Anyway, started camoing the thing, couldn't handle the puke'en bile green color anymore, sure hope it floats when i git 'r' dun. Please no critique or negative comments on the camo job, as an artist i do have certain overdeveloped creative sensitivities.

Hey, thanks for all the inspiration, ya'll have some nice little boats there, seeing as i don't have a lot of "Kwan" to play around with, this little pond boat will have to suffice for now, i don't plan on traveling all over the state and running up and down the big lakes, so it may turn out that it's all i need as some of you have found out. Anywho, here's some pics of some progress i've made, painted and rubberized the inside of the ship today, i painted it a light flat beige, i thought this would make it cooler in the sun, easier to find things i drop, and make it more spacious looking inside, i laid the indoor/outdoor carpet in the bottom of the boat, i thought this would be more comfortable on the feet if i'm barefooted and also insulate it against radiating sounds into the water, i also went and bought some camo material to recover the seat and to make a canopy of some sort.

Nice little boat. What paint did you use on it? I have an old Pelican Bass Raider that I bought off a friend for 50 bux. Its an ugly baby blue and have been thinking about painting it. I have to make some seats for it as i had none. I hope to get it ready before the fall so I can do some fishing.

Nice boat. I would suggest one thing though, you need to use bunkboards as wide as the pontoons or you risk wearing a groove or cracking one of them. I used 1x6 decking with 2x4 bracing under them. Supports all the weight even.

A ton of things you can do for just a few bucks like add some carpet (bout 10 bucks from Lowes), add some lure holders on the sides, some CDC decals, livewell cooler, on and on. Great pics!

I did a huge porton of my fishing out of one of these, a 10' Basshunter, since 1996 when I bought it!! Even during some tournaments.Best money I ever spent! Mine was really tricked out, and I could do pretty much anything I wanted to under 7MPH or so! = ) Here are a couple of the things I did which worked awesome: The bracket which the seat is on - I removed the seat, drilled 4 holes through the top of the bracket, then bolted 4 Driftmaster rod holders on to it. I'd use it snapped in to it's normal slots, and slid all the way forward. I could spider rig VERY well in this little boat that way. For my seat(s), I would use a cooler just like the one in my avatar to sit on - it's wider, more comfortable, and doubles as live well(s) too. I also made a removable & adjustable transducer mount from a quick grip wood glueing clamp. I clamped it to the front troller plate right next to the mounted, front trolling motor. Another thing I did to increase boat space is to put an extention cable onto my front trolling motor's power cable so I could place both of my batteries in the very back out of the way. I also added 2 drift Master rod holders on each of the back 2 tubed, caring handles of the boat for trolling crankbaits. On the front 2 boat rail handles, I gimble mounted and Eagle 320 portable and an H20 GPS - works awesome! Another thing I learned the hard way (almost sunk on Kentucky lake) that I needed to add was a good(FAST)bilge pump!! Waves come over the side alot on big water!! I set one up which between the 2 batteries in the back of the boat. I glued a "C" shaped PVC tube to it's discharge which would pump water out the back of the boat once I flipped it's in-line switch o/off switch as I needed to. I ran a 54lb 12v MK on the back, and a 36lb MK on the front. I could fish from Sun up to Sun down on the 2 batteries, and still make it back. It was simply a fish killing machine up until just recently. Sadly, my brother didn't see it, and destroyed it plowing my driveway. Wish I had pictures to share of it all tricked out, but I have none. One last tip, Walmart sells Plastic weld in a dual injection tube applicator - it's the cat's meow for making repairs. I also dripped a couple weep holes in the top, back boat corners to get the water drained out of it quicker when she'd fill up. Hope some of this helps. Big bites, full baskets, and God's blessings to ya!
